Rides, Festivals, and Races
Memorial Day weekend always brings the start of summer activities. It’s the first round of events to kick off the summer, and this year is no different! There’s something for everybody, no matter what you want to do, and a good time to look forward to what the rest of summer holds!
Music Festival
Kicking off the summer this weekend is a full music festival right in Ironwood! Plenty of bands, both local and beyond are coming into town to play, putting on shows across a few stages around the city. LSGS Kickoff
A little further away, up at the tip of the Keweenaw, Copper Harbor is hosting their annual Ride the Keweenaw races this weekend, including the kickoff of the LSGS enduro series. The excitement goes all weekend, and includes some more casual rides for those not as fond of racing.
Tour Da Lake
This weekend isn’t the only weekend with exciting events happening. Later into the summer, on June 21st, the Tour Da Lake is taking their ride around Lake Gogebic. This annual ride is a nice, community ride is open to all who want to participate. Registration is open now, make sure to get in early to get the best price and an included shirt!
Group Rides going Strong
The Sisu Dirt Crew group rides have been going strong, kicking off the riding season with a few rides in miners and this week, down to WinMan. The trails have been in perfect condition, and the community has been good, so anybody and everybody thinking about coming out and joining the ride should, everyone is welcome!
